Bring what you work through in ChatGPT and Claude into your answers: the
drafts, the research and the files you uploaded there, related to your mail,
meetings and documents. LinkedIn messages and your own posts can come too,
if you switch them on. You set it up once, in about three minutes. After
that it keeps itself up to date.
How to connect
-
Download the extension
ChatGPT and Claude have no way to share your chats with another app, so a
small add-on for your browser, an extension, does it. Download it, then
unzip it: right-click the downloaded file, choose Extract All, and
keep the folder somewhere it can stay, such as Documents. It works in
Chrome and in Edge.

Download the extension
-
Add it to your browser
Open a new tab, paste
chrome://extensions into the address bar
and press Enter (in Edge, edge://extensions). Switch on
Developer mode: top right in Chrome, on the left in Edge. Then press
Load unpacked and pick the enterprise-brain-connector folder.
copies the address, which a page is not allowed to open for you
-
Link it, once
Come back to this tab. Click the puzzle piece at the top right of your
browser, click Enterprise Brain Connector, and press Link this
account. That is the last thing you have to do.
-
It does the rest
ChatGPT and Claude open by themselves in new tabs. If either asks you to
sign in, sign in. Your chats then start syncing, newest first: the numbers
above go up, and the extension's icon shows how far along it is. You can
close those tabs and carry on working. A few hundred chats take a few
minutes. From then on new chats are picked up by themselves, about every
15 minutes, whenever your browser is open.
-
Add LinkedIn, if you want it
LinkedIn is off until you ask for it. Click the extension's icon and
switch LinkedIn on. It then reads your own message conversations
and the posts you have published, through a LinkedIn tab that it opens
and closes for itself, slowly and a stretch at a time, so a long history
fills in over an hour or two. Read the note about LinkedIn below first.
-
Tick them when you want them
ChatGPT, Claude and LinkedIn stay off until you tick them. Open the app
picker beside the question box and tick them under Experimental. Your
choice is remembered.
Before you switch it on
- This is experimental and unofficial. On Plus, Pro, Max and Team
plans neither company offers a way to read chat history, so the extension
reads your chats the way their own web pages do. Their terms of use do not
allow automated reading, so they could restrict an account that does it,
and it can stop working whenever they change their sites. Use it for your
own account, and at your own judgement.
- LinkedIn deserves more care. Its developer programme does not let
an app read your messages or your posts, so they are read the same
unofficial way. LinkedIn looks for this harder than most and does restrict
accounts, sometimes for good. The extension reads slowly, only what is
yours, never writes anything, and stops for hours the moment LinkedIn
objects, but it cannot make the risk go away. Your messages there were
also written by other people, who did not expect them to be copied. Leave
it off if either of those gives you pause.
- Your sign-ins stay in your browser. The extension never sees your
passwords, and nothing about your ChatGPT or Claude session is sent here.
Only the conversations are.
- Your chats are stored here. Mail and files are read live and never
kept. Synced chats are different: they are kept in this app's database
under your account so they can be searched. Only you can search them, and
Remove deletes them.
- It syncs while this browser is open. Chats you had on your phone
or another computer arrive too, the next time this browser is running and
signed in to ChatGPT and Claude.
- An assistant's words are not facts. Answers treat what you wrote as
yours, and what ChatGPT or Claude wrote as a draft or a suggestion.
